GNVLOOP Terms of Use

Last updated: October 1, 2026

GNVLOOP ("we," "us," or "the service") is a free community entertainment and events guide for the Gainesville, Florida area, available on this website and through our mobile apps. By using GNVLOOP you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please don't use the service.

The short version: GNVLOOP is a free guide that gathers event information from public sources. We do our best, but we can't guarantee that any listing is accurate — always confirm details with the venue before you go. We don't run the events we list, and we're not responsible for them.

1. What GNVLOOP is

GNVLOOP collects information about local events, venues, performers, and community activities from publicly available sources — venue websites, public calendars, and similar listings — and presents it in one place. We also publish some media and community content of our own.

We are a guide, not an organizer. We do not sell tickets, host events, operate venues, or act as an agent for anyone who does.

2. Event information may be wrong

This is the most important thing on this page, so it gets its own section.

Most listings on GNVLOOP are gathered and interpreted automatically. Dates, times, locations, line-ups, prices, and age restrictions can be entered incorrectly at the source, change after we collect them, or be misread by our software. Events are cancelled, postponed, moved, and sold out without notice.

Always confirm the details directly with the venue or organizer before making plans, traveling, or spending money. We provide a link to the original source on listings wherever we have one. Use it.

We are not liable for wasted trips, missed events, ticket costs, or any other loss arising from inaccurate or outdated listings.

3. Accounts

You can use almost all of GNVLOOP without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or close accounts that are used to abuse the service.

What an account stores, and how we handle it, is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Please don't:

5. Content you submit

Some parts of GNVLOOP can accept material from users — for example a profile page claimed by the act or venue it describes. Those features are currently turned off. If and when we re-enable them, this section applies.

You keep ownership of anything you submit. By submitting it you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and distribute it as part of operating GNVLOOP, and you confirm that you have the right to do so. You are responsible for what you submit. We may remove any submission at any time, particularly where we believe it infringes someone's rights.

6. Names, logos, and other people's material

GNVLOOP refers to venues, performers, organizations, and events by their names so that we can tell you what is happening. Those names and any associated marks belong to their owners, and nothing on GNVLOOP implies endorsement by, affiliation with, or sponsorship from them.

Where we display an image, it is generally either our own, supplied to us, or linked from the source listing. If you own material that appears on GNVLOOP and you'd rather it didn't, see the next section — we will take it down.

7. Copyright complaints

We respect copyright and respond to valid notices of claimed infringement.

Sending a notice

If you believe material on GNVLOOP infringes a copyright you own or represent, send a written notice to legal@gnvloop.com including:

We will remove or disable access to material we determine in good faith to be infringing, and we may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address, including your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your name, address, and telephone number, together with your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district in which you live (or, if outside the United States, the Northern District of Florida).

Please note that knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

8. Other services we link to or embed

GNVLOOP links to venue and organizer websites, and embeds some third-party content such as video players, maps, and radio streams. Those services are operated by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them. Our Privacy Policy lists the ones we rely on.

9. The service is provided "as is"

GNVLOOP is provided free of charge, as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any listing is accurate or complete.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GNVLOOP and anyone involved in producing it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of the service — including anything arising from an inaccurate listing.

Because GNVLOOP is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100).

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Changes

We may change the service, or these terms, at any time. If we make material changes to these terms we will update the date at the top and post the new version at this address. Continuing to use GNVLOOP after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to GNVLOOP or these terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alachua County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
